Calculation and analysis of the advantages of solar water heater in a comprehensive plan for Iran

Abstract

Sustainable development is very important issues in the world today. One of the most important emphasized fields in sustainable development is the attention to reducing of renewable energy consumption, which in addition to protecting natural resources, also reduces environmental destructive effects. Iran has a privileged geographic location for solar energy and the use of this advantage can make the country on the path of sustainable development. One of the cheapest ways to use clean solar energy is the use of solar water heaters. In this study, by applying other sources of information and researches, a project has been defined in which the whole house is equipped with solar water heater and in this regard, the benefits of the project were calculated and analyzed. The method of this research was data analysis and the importance of this research is in its different calculation method from the method in the other customary researches. The implementation of this national project will do with an investment of about 11 billion US$; after almost three years, the main capital will be returned and since then, the investors will make profit approximately 3.8 billion US$ per years.
