In the present study, the energy consumption of a personalized heating system has been evaluatedwith considering of thermal comfort conditions in a sample room and also compared with non-personalized heating system. The mentioned room has dimensions as 4×3×2.7 m3 and it includes a table, a chair, approximate model of a human body, a return air opening and four air inlet diffusers for personalized ventilation system. For solving the governing equations, OpenFOAM numerical solver has been utilized. Results indicate that non-personalized heating system can provide more uniform distribution in Predicted Mean Vote (PMV) index compared with personalized heating system. Nevertheless, the local thermal discomfort index due to draught is within the permissiblerange (less than %20) for personalized heating system. Also, the energy consumption of personalized heating system has been reported much less than non-personalized heating system, therefore the energy saving of personalized system is about 70 to 85 percent. In personalized heating mode, desired conditions of thermal comfort and minimum energy consumption obtained at the velocity of 1m/s and temperature of 34.5 °C among the investigated cases. <br />
